Default Ferodo Brake Pads

I just switched to Ferodos for my latest track day. I have ran ebc and other hh pads and not been this happy. I tried the Ferodo carbon cp-211 pads and the braking was great! I wouldn't say this compound is as great on the street. They need heat to work so if you are commuting to work that first pull might scare you. Ferodo has a more suitable street metallic compound that is great as well. They seem to have compounds that work well for any application. I can't wait for my next track day!

anyone have a similar experience?

I also have carbon break pads (SBS dual carbon) and in my last trackday they worked perfect from the second lap and on.They really need heat to work. When they are cold you do not have good feeling of the break lever.

I just switched to the Carbon Loraine from the EBC's and was very pleased... great to know other options work well too!

I just did four days at Brno, 2 on Brembo pads and 2 on the CL C59s. I was really happy with the CLs, the stopping power was great with little fade. Brno isn't a big braking track but it's real easy to wave your rear in the air with the CLs.

What did you about the EBCs over the Carbon Loraines?

couple weeks ago at CMP I tried a set of Performance Friction Carbon Metallic 07 Compound pads and I was impressed by the initial bite. Good Stuff!

No real complaints about the EBC's, just seemed like the CL's worked a bit better. Picked up some PF's from the importer on a deal and look forward to trying them. Said initial bite was strong without fade. Would make late braking even better.
