Jeremy Toye who owns Lee's Cycles has developed a rear suspension link(where the bottom of the shock mounts to). It is a linear link vs. the progressive link that comes stock on the bike. Racers adjust spring rates for different tracks, riders, conditions, etc. It's harder to dial that in when your spring rate gets progressively harder the further down in the stoke you go. You can easier adjust that rate when the spring rate is linear and predictable which is what toye's link provides as far as I understand it.
