Default BST's suspension change

I have my suspension set up and dialed in perfect for me. Which is to say a couple of clicks here and there on the front and a turn or two in the rear depending on tracks and conditions.

BUT

I'm changing my stock rims for the BST's and I have NO IDEA what this willdo to my set-up.

ANYONE WITH EXPERIENCE in this regard please chime in.....

I found that the settings when I changed to the BSTs felt a little harsh(choppy) from the reduced weight not dampening what was travelling through the tyre/wheels. There was a lot more feel of what the tyre was doing and I ended up settling on -1 on the fork compression and -1 on the rear low speed comp. Turn in and pick up is much faster, especially at speed.

Everyone will be different but that worked for me. If your still running the stock suspension as I am, fine tuning is limited anyway.

I installed the BST wheels in June and tried all sorts of changes on the stock suspension to get a feeling of confidence in the bike, but ended up having Dan Kyle set up the Ohlins 30mm cartridges and BM888 shock for my bike.

After the installation and sag setup, I added front ride height and added 1 click of rebound and the bike feels Sweeeet!

I know not everyone is going to do this, but on the stock suspension, I can suggest changing the bikes attitude by raising the front of the bike (lower fork tubes relative to the top of the steering crown). This will add some trail, which will calm the front down some in the middle of the turn. Also, where is the rear shock set in the offset spacer?

Good luck!
