Default Fork Travel range?

Hi, I wanted to know if my fork is bottoming out or not. The upper edge of the twist tie I put on the fork tube is about 3/4" from the bottom of the fork tube after running it around the track or the street. Does someone know if this is still within the range or whether this has bottomed out mechanically.

Thanks

It should be 10mm (0.4 inches) from bottoming out. If the gap between the seal and zip tie is smaller, reset its location and increase the preload. If the gap is too large (and you're sure you did a couple hard brakes and wheelie landings), leave the zip tie where it is and decrease the preload, do some more riding, then repeat the inspection.
