Default How to adjust suspension after track day for street?

I know rules of thumb and suspension don't go together very well because there are so many variables, but does anyone have a rule of thumb for how to adjust the suspension down when coming off the track and switching over to the street?

This is like asking what do you like best, blonds, burnets or redheads suspension is all a matter tast, comfort level, what type of riding you do and your riding style

1st
Set sat:
Turn your rebound on the forks to (9) ( on stock units) and adjust from there

^^^ Yea, I thought I'd get an answer along these lines. I was hoping however there was a rule of thumb like set the preload 2 lower and go from there.

Altering preload will generally only alter the height of the bike:
Take a couple of clicks of comp off
Leave the rebound alone to control the spring

Unless you're riding everyday in all weather (i.e., rain), I'd consider leaving it alone. Obviously, wet roads are best on softer settings.

Just my $.02.

These were my findings:

When my suspension/sag was adjusted correctly (for the street) by a professional, it worked great for the track as well (this did surprise me, but that's what happened).

FWIW, I'm a slow/mid Group B or fast Group C rider if that helps.

TT

I pay more attention to my tire pressure coming off the track. Since you don't get the tires as hot on the street I think you need more pressure to reduce wear.
