Default Conti Sport Attack Low Mileage ?

HI guys

I just love my conti sport A, perfect in the street and very decent on the track. Heating pretty fast and when it slips it is very easy to regain control... However after may be 5 times on the track (30 Minutes) and roads, it reaches 1900 Miles and it is fully gone? I believe it is very low. How much to do you get in yours? WHat split race/street?

Cheers

I have just replaced the rear Contisport Attack which did 3400 miles before being illegal. It was very flat in the middle and the groove had all but disappeared making it illegal. I can post a photo if you want to see it. It hasn't been near a track and I am not at all hard on tyres, getting over 5500 miles from a rear Pilot Power on my old R1.

Estimating a life span of nearly 7000 miles from these tyres seems unrealistic to say the least.

Crackin tyres though!

I just hit 2200 miles on Bike, I'm due for a Front and Rear tire, I can go about 300 to 500 more miles before replacing them. Will replace them with Mich 2Ct.

@ Loomis : thanks for the pic... Mine is in the same shape, but how come your front is already dead? IS is the second back tire replacement for one front?

@yellowper1l : Seems pretty good for mileage. !!! any track days or you re trying to optim the acceleration for tire savings etc ? Or sometimes full straight speed ?

No way...unless the engine is off and you're pushing!

3800 miles here, too. The rear prolly has a few hundred miles left, but I don't think the front will pass NYS inspection. Gonna try Pirelli DRCs but wouldn't complain a bit to go back to Continental SAs. It's a really good road tire.

I only got 2500 out of mine. I like the tire, had a few "moments" today on the street. It was pretty warm in Florida today, maybe I slid on a pack of Love Bugs. I think I will try Q2 next time. That is what I have on my CBR.

With 8,400 miles on the bike the back is getting close to replacement for the second time. Original front not far behind. Bikes never seen the track, mostly highway miles with twisty road rides thrown in on weekends. Have a set of Q2's waiting in the wings.
