Default About Ohlins BM888 Rear shock

Hi there

Question for the ones who race the bike..I have the full ohlins suspension for my s1000rr and I use it to race the chilean amateur championship plus some trainings.. But the manual for the BM888 says that I have to change the oil every 10 hours of use.. is that for real? Do I really need to change it that often?

thanks

Assuming that BM888 is the TTX36 the answer is most definitely NO! The TTX by design is much "nicer" to the oil than the older single tube design in general and a fork in particular. The TTX requires much less service than the forks and according to Öhlins I could service my fork every year and the TTX every second year and I would be good (no racing but track daying and a lot of street use).
