Default Should I upgrade the Continentals before CSS

I was not fortunate enough to get my S1000rr with the K3's, (I should have waited) which all have said is a great street/track tire. I'd buy a set but they still kind of expensive, so after some research it looks like the Dunlop Q2's are pretty good for the street and track.

Anybody running a set of Q2's. Would this be and upgrade from the Continentals?

I'd like to mention I'm doing California Superbike School next month.

Buy yourself some insurance!!

Buy some Dunlop N TECS, especially if your going to track it.

You paid so much money for your bike why not buy the best tire available.

How will they hold up on the street?

The Sport Attacks are absolutely fine for CSS, unless they're seriously worn or flat-spotted, which applies to any tire. They're comparable to Q2s anyway, and the school is not about sliding around the track.

I dragged the *fairing* of my ZX-14 with *Road* Attacks on it.

The only reason to prefer Q2s would be that's the tire they run on the school bikes, so they have a lot of experience with pressures, setup, feel, etc. But that's not enough reason IMHO to switch tires if yours are still in good shape.
