Unhappy A misstake?

When I disambled the fork leg I forgot to turn the adjustment screw for redamping to position 1 before I removed the top cap from the damper unit inside the fork leg.

Did I make a mess inside now or is it just to install it the same way again and it will work properly?

However, if you move the connecting nut to the adjuster, you do screw up the alignment with the click stop numbers.

Even though it would be less than perfect as long as there is enough adjustment to work with in each leg than the number of available turns shouldn't matter, as long as you adjust from full stiff.

This is how it's been with every other fork leg I've worked on and see no reason why this should be any different.
