Hey folks, found this item on ebay. Anybody have these on there bikes that can comment. Do they work like those horizontal shocks on some bikes.?

I have one for my 848. It works well. The nice thing about them is the big dial, it's easy to adjust if you need to, while still wearing gloves.

What are the benefits of using this GPR thing...does it reduce vibration at the hands? if you could be more explicit

It's a steering damper. Your BMW already comes with one, but it is a shaft system underneath your fairings.

This one is adjustable, with 20 settings. The primary function is to stop oscillating the front wheel from left to right (tank slapper). It dampens these tendencies. This is generally required due to the lack of trail on aggressive sport bikes.

More trail makes the steering slower, but more stable. Less trail makes the bike turn faster, but less stable. The steering damper helps stabilize the steering and help prevent tank slappers.

they do exactly the same as a traditional damper........

had one on a triumph 675 and didnt like it, just didnt seem to have the same sort of pressure as a traditional damper (linear).......

basically if and when i got a bit of a wiggle going on it didnt seem to help like a linear damper ever did..........

didnt like it..............(opinion)
