i have a set on my bst's but have yet to be out on a good ride. ive only been out 1 time since on a new years day ride which it was very cold so i never pushed it... they are the lightest tires out and ive been riding on michelin's for the last 10 years and like how they perform. some dislike them but ive never had any issues. i use the power race's for track days and up until the pure's came out had used the powers on the street up till that point. im going to put the k3's on the bst's for my next track day and wear them out before i use the race's i have stashed in the shop..

I personally love the Pure Powers. I have a set on my CBR. They are great on the track and street. The BMW had a set to, so far the 500 miles are great. I like them 100x more then K3.

Just got my second pair ready to install...this tyres have never done strange things...but I always run them low in PSI...32/34 cold mostly canyon riding...Imention this because Its said to run them pretty high 42PSI but My experience points the other way...

That's what I put on after the K3's. I like them so far(only couple of hundred miles).

Check, everything I have heard points to higher pressures. I have a few miles on a new set on my CBR and ran them at 36/36 I think. I like them but it may also be switching from the 50 to the 55.

I freaking HATE the Pures, took them off after only having them on for 3 weeks, felt like I was riding on marbles. Went with Power Ones, and can't be happier. I like Pilot Power series tires too, not sure why I didn't get along with the Pures.

Michael

PS. This is only the 2nd time in 32 years of riding and having owned 18 bikes that I removed new tires, the other time was with a set of Road 2's that I put on my touring bike, ended up putting on RoadSmarts and I was much happier that time as well.

Bike magazine fitted a pair to their long termer S1000, they said it turned the bike into a 'handfull' they now have 'Sportsmarts' fitted and say they are ok.

I bumped into a lad with Pures fitted to his S1000, he said the front was crap.

Kinda worries me this tyre stuff, I love the K3's and have a 3rd pair ready (from a new bike turned track bike) to fit, but the price and wear rate is scary, mind you saying that I would rather pay the extra than have something that spoils the bike

Agree. The stock K3 front is better than the Pure by a mile. I have tried different pressures, but my mate has Perellis and BST's and his bike feels much better than mine eith the Pures and BST's. I am heavier than him but I even chaned to his set-up to check and mine still feels vague by comparison.

I hear that those tyres not the best for road. They take a long time to warm up. I Got some Pirelli super corsas and they great.
