Default 200 profile slick TC effect

Can anyone tell me if by fitting a 200/55 profile slick rear, will this effect the TC.

The traction control calibrates every time you start up your bike and roll a few feet. That's why the "Brake Failure" and traction lights blink when you turn it on. The calibration should make it so any tires you stick on there should work with TC and ABS.

This is correct, but I would add that it can only calibrate the overall diameter and doesn't take into affect the profile of the tire. This is why some race teams have had their ECU recalibrated for different tires.. so the TC can also realized the more aggressive profile of a race tire.

Considering I've seen big differences in the way tc reacts with just different brands on the bike I have to belief that a 200 rear is going to change the way the tc reacts, perhaps enough to screw things up.

I can see it now,

in a couple weeks,

"well I went to the track with a 200 rear and found out when I fell on my ass that the tc doesn't work well with it."

Is that the biggest size tire our bike can hold without making modifications?
