Default Metzler K3 dimensions

Hi All ...

Would anyone have measurements for the circumference (or diameter) of the front and rear OEM K3's? I don't have my bike on hand to measure, and can't find the info on the net ...

Reason I ask, I'm looking for the best alternative track-day tire with similar circumference so not to mess up the geometry of the bike too much. I'd get another set of K3's, but they don't stock Metzler at the track ... would be easier to get a Pirelli, Michelin, or Dunlop with similar circumferences.

Cheers

your way better setting the bike up for the tire, then setting the tire up for the bike

I would just run Dunlop's and flip your spacer that should get you in the ball park.

Thanks, that sounds like a good option.

Im 73 kg / 11 5lb ish I have set sag at 11mm front 20mm rear Thats rider difference on board sag and feel that this is ok?

what would you recommend?

if you look at your rear shock at the top you will see a gold spacer you need to suspend the rear of the bike ( use a sizer jack and a block of wood and lift from the bottom of the motor) take that out and flip it over this adds 8mm (or so) of rear ride hight ,makes a huge difference

as far as setting sag "IMO" the way bmw's owners manual does it is kind of confusing (but I'm not that shape anyways) but as long as the outcome is 35-40mm front and and 30-35mm rear <---- from full uncompressed with rider, your fine!
