Default Attack Per. TC and Ohlins Steering Damper...???

Does anyone have this setup? It doesn't seem to work. I have the Attack Performance triple clamps set on the bike with 26mm offset. The problem is that, with the offset, the steering is VERY limited because the Attack triple clamp hits the OEM / Ohlins steeing damper mount at the base of the air duct. Anyone have any advice here? I'd like to salvage this...I don't want to have to to buy GPR (I've already bought an Ohlins damper) and have to machine the Attack triple clamps to get the GPR damper to fit correctly....!!!???

Any advice is greatly appreciated here!

I haven't gotten this far with mine yet but perhaps calling Dan Kyle in the am or Hardracing or actually I'd probably start with the Attack folks

I'm going to call Attack in the AM, but this doesn't look good. With the decreased offset, you can't use the OEM (therefore, also an Ohlins) steering damper... I love GPR's dampers, but to have them fit with Attack triples, you have to machine the top of the triple clamp, and that costs $$$

I have had the 2 versions of the Attack clamps, I have been able to mount the Ohlins Damper on both. The same set up Larry Pegram is using as well.

I will try and fine some picture tomorrow.

There are a couple of ways to mount is.

The Attack clamp DOES limit the steering lock to lock.

Any and all advice with this issue would be great! I'd really like to get this setup to work out! Thanks Dan!

Is this right for the offsets? Looks right to me. Attack says it is wrong...that the offsets should be switched around.

The picture is taken from the seat of the bike going forward.

This =s more trail, right? The triple clamp is forward relative to the steering column, giving more trail correct???

I think I increased the offset instead of decreasing it...therefore making it such that the steering damper didn't fit...??? Does this sound correct?

The inserts need to be rotated 180 degrees.

You should have no problem with mounting the Ohlins once that is done. If you have any questions let us know we have the clamps and the Ohlins on our bike.

What offset insert are you using??

The picture looks like 5 or 6 MM.

The best we have found is 4MM

Making the offset 26 MM.

Looking at your picture it "appears" that the fork tubes are sticking thru the clamps way to far.

What is the height of the fork tube above the triple clamp, measured from the top of the clamp to the fork tube at the seam between the cap and the alum tube??
