Default 190 or 200?

I tried to find some info on here but the posts didnt help me with my awnser..

My tire is pretty much worn..Decided to try out a 200/55...
Anybody have expierence with these tires on the street?
Also will abs and dtc work as normal and does the tire improve performance because of the bigger patch.. Or should I stick with the same size?

Thanks for the help in advance

all should be fine in my opinion as far as i know..

you might probably find there to be a change in initial turn in and a slight in grip if your really trying but to any ol novice for the price its really pointless...

as far as i can see...

iv rode the rsv4 aprc 200 section tyre and the standard rsv4 and i personally didnt feel no change on the road then again you wouldent

Yes. My tires wore out at lunch during a track day, so I bought the most "street friendly" tire they had which was the Diablo SuperCorsa SC2 200/55. I had a BLAST out on the track the remainder of the day, and found the bike handled great.

I then rode these on the street for a while until the weather turned. I have subsequently swapped out the DSC SC2's for PP 2CT's which are *much* better for cold and wet (and also really fun tires). I went back to 190/55 with the 2CTs.

I have a 200/55 tire now on my bike because they did not have 190 at the moment. There is huge difference in gearing (longer) but I haven't noticed any difference in grip.I will go to 190/55 next time.

I don't have any experience with going 190-200 on the BMW, but I had a 190 on my GSXR600 from a 180. BIG difference. I didn't like it and won't be doing that again. Big difference in rear wheel feel for me, turn in, etc. I can guess that going 190-200 on the BMW wold be much the same.
