Default Tire Pressure into the winter months

As the temperature is dropping 20-40 degrees from late summer to fall to winter, how often are you checking your pressures? What are u keeping ur tire pressures at knowing the temperature is dropping week to week. Are u taking it one day at a time and just adjusting accordingly?

It's been 40-50s over here and I checked my tires (Q2s) yesterday and they had lost 3lbs. 29PSI front and 28PSI rear. I left them a little low so that they warm up faster on the cold concrete. Plus, they are take offs so I don't really care about increased wear.

I check pressure weekly and usually run 32 psi front and rear.

in the summer or winter the standard tyre pressures are fine unless u have significantly changed the weight of your bike then u might drop a psi or 2..

i always loose 2 psi once its dropped below 10 c

because its cold the ambient temperature affects your tyre pressure anyway and will lower it by a few and as was said above will help your tyre warm up to nearer the tyres optimum operating temp....

I believe in checking them once per week, and "kicking them" every time I ride. The kick (being a highly sensitive means of determining air pressure ) really just ensures they aren't flat or near flat as a result of a slow leak, nail, or something. The amount of air pressure depends on the tire...with my 2CT's, I'm liking 34/36 (f/r) cold for normal street / twisties.
