Default Cool NYS Trooper

Went on a call(Im a plumber)and it turned out the home owner was a NYS Trooper. After fixing his problem, giving him a cop discount and driving him to the ATM machine he asked me if I had any family or friends that are law enforcement so I say no cause I think I know where hes going with this question and then he offers me a NYS Troopers PBA card. Before accepting his offer and I made it clear that I was pretty notorious out on L.I. for the way I ride my bike. He looks at me and asks if my licence is clean so I tell him yes, he pulls out a PBA card, signs and writes his phone # on the back. I ask him what parkways he works and of course he says 2 of the main roads we rip up so I look him dead in the eye and tell him I rip those roads up!! and handed him my YouTube address and told him to watch and see if he notices any of the roads, he looked me and laughed his ass off.

Not that I expect a warning if I get busted riding like a nut but it will come in handy for when Im in my truck or if we're on the bikes parked.

I guess I was wrong. Not all cops are scumbags.

Police Benevolent Association. Its a get off ticket card. But it wont give me any pull in the city.

Nice. At my soon to be Ex's work, she gets a sticker for the car. Ironically, I got pulled over in her car with her in the passenger seat. I was a mile from the local PD office she works at, but I was tagged by a trooper, not a local PD. And he gave me a warning for.... a less than full bright license plate light. She didn't have her sticker or ID on her... damn her.

I am trying to figure out which vehicle to put the sticker on.. or worse, duplicating it for each vehicle. And it's not a get out of a ticket sticker, but will give me a little more slack in a pull over.

In Texas, it's not the PBA but something similar.

I'd be pissed if I pulled someone over for doing something dangerous and they pulled that card out on me.

TT

I totally agree. And Ill make the trooper that gave it to me look like a idoit for giving a wreckless selfish prick like me a card. Thats why I warned him before he handed it to me. Ill just use it when or if a trooper decided to break balls when we'er parked or when Im in my car/truck.

My father in law was ex-BCI. I carried a PBA card and annual window sticker for years. Troopers will give you a lecture and generally let you off, but local PDs couldn't care less--in fact some of them seemed to take pleasure in tweaking me once they saw the window sticker.

Don't expect a break if the Suffolk PD dog you.

I only plan on using it on Troopers. I know troopers and NYPD dont mix so the sticker is staying off. They bang each others family members with tickets and dont care or want to here it.
One of my boys is a Nassau County P.D., got his number on speed dial.
And I have RETIRED NYPD card. That one gets me out of every stop. I get pulled all the time for tints, I even got my windshield tinted and they always let me go.
