Vision problems
Has anyone had macular depigmentation in their eye? A few days ago my vision got blurry and couldn't see very good. This worries me because I drive n ride to work. Last thing I need is for the Dr to say I can't ride anymore. Anyone suffered from this or knows someone who has this problem? Please shim in.
Thanks

Sure it wasn't a transient ischemic attack (i.e. a mini-stroke)?
Seems any degeneration of the eye's retina would be more permanent and long lasting rather than fleeting, short of having a bunch of floaters.
However, I worked a track event once where during the girl's long distance race, one girl threw her arms out in front of her and began walking wildly around the track mid-race. She told us she had an allergy to chocolate and she ate some just before the race. She said her vision would come back in 20 minutes or so and it did. Very weird.

It's been blurry since Monday. I wish it was only 15 mins and it came back. No headaches though. Just can't focus good. Sometimes I see bunch of halos. I made an apt to see an eye specialist.

I dont know if it was related to a mini- stroke. That's up to the specialist to evaluate. I accept if I need to wear glasses but the doctor said this is more serious beyon that. My vision was perfect. I dunno what happend. It sucks not being able to see clear.

Hmmm ok wishing you good luck and everything to be ok. Personally I have eyes issues. They do get blur once in a while followed by a headache. I have them to stop driving. Doc said it is a kinda of migraine.

WTF are you doing here!
You cant fooking see! This is an emergency in case you are wondering & since you have no idea what this is i suggest you let the pros take a look!
Admit yourself into the closest ER on an emergency basis ASAP & have it checked out. You dont need insurance or $$ to do that!!

As only an Optician, I hear things like this and must agree with SalR1, Go directly to an Ophthamologist! While I won't attempt to diagnose, whatever is going needs immediate attention. GO!

In 1 hour i got an appoinment with an Ophthamologist. I've already gone to see my doctor but it wasnt where i needed to goto the ER. If i was in pain then that would be different. I'm kinda nervous on what the Ophthamologist is going to tell me. I hope it's nothing really bad where i need to give up driving & riding my bike. It also sucks that next week i'm going to pick up the S1000rr and wont be able to ride it. If the doc tells me i cant ride then i'm not going to pick it up and might aswell sell my gear and bike.

Well just getting back from the Ophthamologist. I was diagnosed with macular edema. One of the problems why this comes out is because of stress but nobody really knows whats the root cause that makes it come out in just one eye. There's fluid behind the eye that's making me see blurry. I got an appointment with another doctor and i need a treatment injected in the eye to make this fluid come out. Eventually i'll be back to normal. I feel much better now know there's a fix for this. It was starting to freak me out.
