Thumbs down That Sucks!

Gotta love big brother, Guess I'll have to shut down my Phone before getting on my bike......This stuff is getting out of control, we are basically giving up our privacy rights just to get the newest gadgets,
I mean every time you purchase one of these things you have to sing or agree to the terms and conditions, witch is usually 3-4 pages of legal mambo jumbo, drawn up by the company's lawyers. Who really reads these things thoroughly, and even if you did, there's nothing there to protect you the buyer/customer, sad, very sad.

RANT OVER!

Sounds like they are just using the data to find areas where average speed is significantly above the posted and then running speed traps in that area.

You and your boyz ought not use a TomTom

But this sounds like a bunch of nonsense. I wonder if their sales will drop for being rat bastard snitches. Id rather get lost then use a TomTom.

Better read up some more as there's more to it than that. The Blackberry folk are a bit upset too.

See this: Cellebrite cellphone - Michigan state police - Geekosystem

Of course, you could always refuse a search, but then they will show up with a dog and then get the dog to do whatever that signals your vehicle may be hauling drugs and then be free do a search. If they detain you to do a search (which they can), then you could sit in jail under detainment while your vehicle is towed, impounded, and searched as well as your electronic data (phone), and then you get to pay all those wonderful fees for your detainment such as towing and impound too.

Welcome to the new world order where big brother watches every move you make. Someday, I suspect an Electronic Judge Dread will send you your speeding tickets once they extract your tracking data from your GPS or phone (a smartphone phone would be easier to call out the data from), and just tap your ATM account for the fines automatically. I believe one of the car rental companies played some GPS game once where if you went across a state line with the rental you got hit for it later. American Car Rental in CT used to charge $150 once they discovered you had sped more than 2 minutes at stretch in the cars.
