I couldn't resist either. It reached 62 degrees (F) and sunny in Seattle yesterday, and though it started in the upper 30's it was a fantastic day, and even better than the first non-rainy weekend we've had in quite a while.
I leave for work at 4:30 AM (in the dark still) and before the downtown area I have a 4-mile stretch of three lane, one way only, set of "express lanes" with no entrances or exits, so I have it virtually all to myself. Part of it is on the lower level of a long bridge, some in a lower level trench that is out of view, and even more in an enclosed deck like a tunnel. Can you say "hooligan".

The "express lanes" are reversed around noon, so after a 10-hour day, I get to ride it back the other way in traffic at 3:00 PM. At least I can enjoy the afternoon light, and when it merges back into the regular freeway, there is the HOV lane where motorcycles are welcome. No lane splitting or lane sharing here, but there are plenty of opportunities to move in and out of the HOV lane at will to overtake traffic. They haven't cracked down on that yet - though coming on other freeways here.
10-hour days? Yeah, I work 4 days a week, (and sometimes from home) so I can be free to ride the other days. Like Yell'er, sometimes my conscience dukes it out whether to ride or get anything else done, and with Spring finally here, guess who's winning.
