If you just think about the situation. You don't hear the tires screech from her hitting the brakes before she hits him. If you look at the right mirror you can see her coming. C'mon, WTF! She should not be allowed to drive again.

I edited the stop light bit. It's just the way the video starts that makes it look like he's just starting off. Either way that Focked.

the witnesses laughed at the silly old sod and told him to go sit in his car untill the police n ambulance came n pumped me fulla morphine (BIKERS BUDDY) as i call it now......

needless to say he isnt driving any longer, but iv been of work for 4 months now.........

This is why I ALWAYS lane split and ALWAYS get to the front at any light or stop sign. One of my friends on his GSXR 1000 was stopped at a red light behind a VW Bug and was rear ended by a moronic Woman in a Suburban.. She plowed straight into him at 35 mph (she was on her cellphone at the time) and he flew 50+ feet into oncoming traffic... broke his spine in three places, left leg etc, etc... Luckily he healed and wasn't paralyzed or similar.

I live in fear of being hit from behind by some idiot that isn't paying attention. I commute to work on my Motorcycle every day and I have for 20+ years. I have learned a few lessons and this is one of them... At a stop, NEVER be the last vehicle in line.. get to the head of the queue and put a few big chunks of metal between you and whoever is coming down the road.

Being paranoid is your best friend. I always slow down traffic gradually if I'm going to be stopped. If I can when I pass, I try to notice the driver and make a mental profile, elderly, mother looking back at baby, distracted, young, etc. Plus I never stop that close to a car if I can avoid it. The rider did nothing wrong though and thats what makes these things so vexing!

I can see the insurance claim form now:

"Whilst sitting at a red light minding my own business a crazy motocyclist bastard reversed into me at 65mph causing £4,000,000 of damage to my car."
