Blammo! AMA Pro Racing - Road Racing Event Results

Lots of good times it's shaping up to be a heck of a DSB and SBK. Test one times Larry's looking superb as is Toye and it's great to see eboz back in the mix here's hoping he can stay for the season. I can't wait for the racing to start up again

How much are AMA bikes different then the one's we buy? I guess what i'm getting at is well I just figured with the HP edge BMW brings to the table they should be doing better. Not only that but isn't Yamaha the least powerful of the Japs this year?

Forgive my ignorance.

Similar to WSBK with limitations see here pg 41 http://www.amaproracing.com/assets/A...R-Rulebook.pdf
A true gauge of comparison is WSSTK yes the BMW has won every race it entered

let's be fair and say while the bmw has awesome performance, it was the same rider who won all the races (and there was one he did not win and went to Honda). That begs the question on how much of that is the machine and how much of that is the rider. Probably a little of both, but the hondas were doing quite well.

You might also keep in mind, the Suzuki's and Yamaha's have 2 years plus of development, and Larry Pegram, who is doing his own development, has had what 3 months?

Also the Suzuki and Yamaha teams are fully factory backed, with parts and infomation from the factories, Larry is doing it all within his team.

That's a very bold statement to make about a rider who had 2 wins total over the 5/6 seasons before
SBK.COM | RIDER

Oops forgot BSB super stock 1000
2010 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship in association with Pirelli

Oops forgot French SBK (very similar to wsstk)

Oops forgot Spanish SBK StkEx

Oops forgot German SBK

Oops forgot Finland SBK

Crap didn't get Canadian Sbk but 3 bikes in top 5 ain't bad!!

Do you think it's the bike or the rider? Or both? I think the bike is a superb package if it's taking results worldwide

basically all superbike's are built close to each other hp wise now..

everyone can use ported heads, aftermarket camshafts, unlimited compression and a few other mods...they have tried to cut cost's in this series over the years and have placed limitations that were not there a few years back...

before aftermarket rods, unlimited camshaft spec and factory kit parts were used. only the factory teams had it and they were 100k bikes +. when when the ama series was purchased this went away to level the playing field for privateer racing efforts where everyone had the same parts.

I am looking forward to the SBK season. Portimao test starts on the 25th and the only team not there is the Factory BMW team. At least BMW Italy will be there. Will be interesting to see where they are as they will basically have last years spec with 2 new riders (will be interesting to see how far off 2 new riders are on last years equipment is what I mean). Then to compare that with the factory guys at Ozzie.

I never said the bmw was not a good bike, but was saying it takes rider skill and a good bike. Also take into account the number of beemers vs some of the other brands....

don't get your panties in a ruffle lee you have a good bike....calm down
