Ride my Motorcycle to work EVERY day.. Have for the last 30 years or so.

Got a Honda 90cc Monkey Bike when I was 8 years old.

Back home in Scotland, I bought a Honda CB100 when I was 16.
Then a Yamaha YPVS125 at 17,
then a Yamaha YPVS 250 at 19,
then a Suzuki Walter Wolf edition 500cc Gamma at 21,
then a Yamaha YPVS 500;
followed by a Kawasaki 750 H2 Triple (evil, EVIL handling Bike, but my GOD what an engine)
then a Suzuki GS1000E,
then a Honda CB 1100R.

Moved from Scotland to the USA when I was 24..
Bought a 1992 Suzuki GSXR 1100 (fat bastard of a Bike.. 540 lbs or so)... waited a year, then had it modded to 1425cc, full radius valve job, full system, Factory Pro titanium jet kit, etc, etc..

Rode that for a while, then bought a Ducati 998R,
then a KTM Duke II as a commute bike (bad idea as I only got 80 miles out of a tank),
then a Suzuki TL1000S as a replacement for the KTM,
then a 2006 Kawasaki ZX-10R (just sold it),
followed by a Kawasaki Ninja 250R as my Wife's first Bike,
then a 2006 Triumph 675 Daytona (Wife's second Bike after 1 year of her learning to ride properly)
and then a 2007 Triumph 675 Daytona (sold),
then a red 2009 Triumph 675 Daytona (still own, now the Wife's Bike)
and finally my 2011 BMW S1000RR in Motorsports colors with full Akrapovic Evo Ti system, PCV and Dan Kyle's Akrapovic map.

I have been a race driving instructor for local clubs (Trackmasters, NCRC, NASA, PCA, Green Flag) for the last 17 years.

Shifter Kart Racer since I was 11 years old.

Motorcycle Club racer back home in Scotland, mostly Knockhill, Bruntingthorpe, Cadwell park, Castle Combe, Mallory etc.

Now I am 48 years old and stick mostly to racing Cars (mostly Porsche stuff), but do the occasional Motorcycle track day... I may be old and fat, but I am still fast enough...

Got a KX 75 or 80 years ago when I was a nipper, then a family tragedy kind of prevented me from biking as it was frowned up on.

Then about 4 years ago decided to take my full test, brought an R46 off e-bay (before I passed my test) and then just got on with it.

Didnt keep the R46 long as i brought it with 600 miles on the clock at a steal, so traded in at a good time for an 08 R6. Kept that a year, put 9k miles on it in 10 months and took it for its annual service. Bastards gave me a new 09 R1 for a demo for the day - went back and brought a new one!
Kept that a year, put another 7k on that and now have brought the BMW. Riding is mostly at weekends just for fun (it was either that or Golf ----err hello!)

Done CSS up to level 4 and class myself as a sensible rider, i.e. in the UK plod is never far away!

Rode a freinds RM80 a couple of times when I was 10.
A few more rides on a KX90 @ 16.
One ride on a freinds 125cc scared the hell out of my 100 lb scrawny ass.

Learned to street ride on my Dad's full dress '73 R75/5....took my test on it in 1986 and rode it regularly from 18 to 24.
At 24 I bought my 1st bike, a 1985 V65 Sabre....awesome bike, but had to sell it within a year...couldn't afford the insurance for a bike and a '86 Mustang as well.
Around 1999, I bought another V65 Sabre and rode it for about 2 years until I bought my 1st BMW...a '98 K12RS that I totalled 2 years later.
Next up was a '02 R11S that I sold after I got my S1RR.
Now I have the S1 and my Dad's old R75/5.
I've been to the track on the K12 and the R11 and will go on the S1 this year.

No clubs, except the BMWMOA.

Had to have the S1 being a Beemer boy and a sport rider...now I'm not playing catch up all the time!
