Default Decent review & vid 2011 ZX-10R

Just came across this and thought I would share it.

Seems like a decent review of 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.

YouTube - MotoUSA 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R First Ride

here is a more detailed review:

Overall it seems bmw is still above it power wise.

to be fair, it does look like he is testing a full stock USA version which is limited. The can and cat are still there. Of course it will not be as fast as the beemer. I'm curious to see how it compares if they tested a euro spec model or if both bikes have a full exhaust/ecu upgrade. Nice review though

stock for stock the beemer will be faster in the US, the rest of the world or after mods???? who knows yet.

Hey Gnance,

I think that questions already answered.

If you compare the claimed numbers from the exhaust sites for the zx and the claimed hp numbers for the bmw both with full exhaust and tune it works out

high 180's low 190's for the ZX

close to 200 for the s1000

Who cares. I will save close to 7k on purchase price. you pay for what you get.

looks like a good bike gna test ride one asap...

i honestly cant c it bettering the bm and a grand for abs ahhhh..

im interested in the tc because its ment to b real good but so is ours in slick..

and the other thing is i expect with the bmw updates were promiesed at service intervals that tc will somehow be mappable, with some kinda piggyback like a power commander for tc because again after all its personal 9 times out of 10 mines off for a lil power wheelie fun, as im sure any kawasaki superbike fan will aswell who buys 200bhp bikes not to have a bit of fun..

track days are diffrent (slick)

I wonder if at least some of the money Kawasaki saved by pulling out of MotoGP went into the R&D on this lovely machine. If so, good on 'em!

I know....

I am trying to believe me. The dealers up here are all pissing me off. The AK fun center said MSRP plus $500 off when they initially quoted me...then when I went to take the deal no one seemed to remember the $500 off...how nice. I have been talking to Team CC in eagle river and they quoted me 15077 which is higher than MSRP and a dealer prep fee on top of that. The shop in anchorage I refuse to buy from (where I got my duc) cause they are complete idiots.

This is pissing me off cause I really want the black zx and I hate how just because you are in alaska means you don't have to have good customer service. No one up here cares about sport bikes, customer service, or getting back to you in a timely manner.

I'm moving to washington next summer, thought I might get the bike up here to save sales tax, but now I am not so sure. I'm tired of dealing with these idiots. One of the reasons a beemer is not in my garage is because the only close dealer happens to be the one I got the duc from and hate (long story)

Unless some one steps up and gives me a reasonable deal I guess I have to wait it out until I move. Might give me a better chance to actually test all the bikes I am considering in the flesh anyway. Right now I have a 3 way tie between the new zx, the s1000, and the black mv f4.

May just have to pass the time buying more ducati mods...lol.

I would also really like to see how the green looks in the flesh. Don't know if I am a big fan or not...it depends on the pics. I thought I would play it safe and go with a black one, but the green kind of grows on you.

Gnance, I can't wait to see the pics you post of your new S1k. Now that the Kawai is out which you like best as far as looks?

anyway, as far as looks go I like certain things about both bikes. I like the headlights on the kawi better, but I like the tail on the s1000 better. THe asymmetry on the beemer doesn't bother me so much on the sides, but the headlights do. I just posted a thread asking if anyone knew if there was a way to make the headlights symmetrical.

In all honesty it would be game over already as my favorite looking bike BY FAR is the new mv agusta f4. I just don't like the fact that there is so little dealer support and it is italian and likely to have some issues. I have no mv dealers here so it would probably not be wise.
