set the gopro down on the side of the track, came out pretty good.

Nice. a bit far view but looks like a fun session. Did you get help to start/stop recording?
Did you have it on a tripod?

i used the base that the gopro comes packaged in and just angled it so the lens was pointed right at the apex. then i just left it running for 30 mins or so while i took a break and edited out the 'dead times'.

this time was just an experiment to see if it would work. now that i know it works pretty good, i'll look into making that base taller or a tripod.

i haven't seen any gopro3 footage yet, but i think it might be even better with the 120fps option and flat lens to remove that walleye.

Cool. I have a cheapo small tripod that will get me about 18 inches above ground. when not expanded, it fits nicely in a backpack. I was thinking on doing the same you did but on one of my favorite back roads.
