Y'all who have been to Germany what do you miss most?

It's October Fest in Germany. Those of you who have lived in Germany, what do you miss the most in the homeland of the S1000RR? October Fest and German beer, the autobahn, the back roads in the country side. For me, it's all of the above, not to mention some of the great restaurants that serve wild schwein, hirsch and other game.

P.S. Those of you who live in Virginia, don't miss Morton's October Fest celebration on 13 October, free food and a chance to test ride bikes, but no beer.

I just left Germany this past summer after being there for almost 6 years, it was my second time living there. I miss everything about Germany. I hope I get to go back in about 2 years. I dont plan on returning to the states if I do.

Going to Oktoberfest this weekend, not on the bike though taking the train.

I miss pretty much everything. Only got off active duty to go to school and come back in active. I'll definitely be back. I actually like the fact that there are no walmarts, things close on sunday, and that you can't get pancakes at 3am just because.

On a side note my bike is finally here and will be coming next thursday...I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with these 65mph speed limits.

I miss the beer, the autobahn and the German friends i made while living there. I would go back to Bamberg anyday.

Still in Germany got another 4 years here but I could definitely make a home out of it if I get the chance. What I'm going to miss most are the festivals. They've got festivals for everything, wine, chicken, asparagus, bier.. you name it. The food they serve there... that rotisserie chicken I swear is sprinkled with crack... and the pork knuckles... good god. You can go to a different festival every weekend. Gluhwein in the winter Riesling on the Rhine in the summer.

A very close second place is the travel, a 30 euro flight to ireland or italy, drive to prague for the weekend or up to amsterdam for the night. Spain for the tomato festival (basically a giant wet t-shirt contest) and the next day on the beach in nice. D-day rolls around, guess it's time to go to St Mere Eglise for some brie bread and booze. The travel here is epic.

And rounding up third only because the first two are just so damn good and the states has some fantastic riding as well is the the backroad riding around here... it's fantastic. Going 150mph to work every morning on my favorite stretch without worry of a ticket.... awesome.
