Default Home AC / Furnace HELP

My control circuit board crapp'd-out on me this past wednesday. All was good because it kept the blower blowing and the temp's have been comfortable to the warmer side. I manually engaged the contactor on the A/C compressor and controlled turning it on and off thru the circuit breaker. A front moved thru the area today and the temp's are diving into the 30's. Is there a way for me to manually turn the heating furnace on and off? It's a Goodman gas unit.

It looks like I found the prob. It had an open circuit on the backside of the circuit board. Originally the compressor wires corroded falling and grounding together. I repaired the cause of the prob but had to find what was damaged. Talking with a couple of A/C guru's, we eliminated a bunch of parts. After all the test and diagnostics I thought it was the circuit control board in the inside unit. Luckily, on the inside of the door on the inside unit there was a schematic drawing of the circuit. After a few days of head scratching, I dismounted the board and discovered the broken connection. A lil solder and we get to sleep with heat tonight.

follow-up

The surge fried relays and on these new units you can't just change the fried parts you have to change the whole board. Oh well, 120bux plus my labor versus calling the A/C man. I'm still ahead of the game, and yes I'll spend that saved money on myself thank you.

Glad you were able to fix it, no heat when its in the 30's sucks donkey dildo...but, candles...lots of them can provide a surprisingly amount of heat...plus you can turn your oven on and open the door to it, I've done that before...
