Whats up guys.
so i am getting tired of bringing my tires to the shop to have my tires changed. sick of paying someone to do it and be nervous about scratch on my rims.
I have 3 street bike in the garage as well as a motocross so i figured a tire changing machine will pay for itself in 2 years max.
I am looking at NOMAR machines with balancers.
anyone here could hook me up with a sweet deal???
otherwise i will have to pay full retail from NOMAR
I have a No-Mar Pro model with a balancer and all the accessories I'd let go for $1,000. Shipping would be extra, though- it's big and heavy and I'm in FL.
I spoke with Nomar owner at a motorcycle show this winter. He told me the cyclehill line is mostly for motocross and small duty like someone changing 2-3 sets per year. And if i want to change more than that, which is the case, I will not like the cycle hill and I should buy the classic or JR Pro..which were my first choice anyway.
I have the No-Mar Classic with hitch mount. I store it in the basement and slide it into my truck receiver when I need to change tires. I also have three extra hand clamps and a yellow thing.
With these and their lube, old tires jump off the rims and new ones jump right on. It really is as easy as their videos, childs play.
And to think I used to wrestle with tire irons, what a chump I was.

I've got the cycle hill and it's great. It has all the No-Mar attachments and is well built. It for light duty for sure, but I share it with two of my buddies and it has already paid for itself. We each change about 2 sets a year each so it sees a fair amount of use. Bought a Harbor Freight wheel balancer and it works as a nice complement to the Cycle Hill changer. Just did my rear today, literally took 15 minutes. Getting prepped for a track weekend.
If it's just you or a few buddies, then the Cycle Hill is what you want. It's less expensive than the No-Mar, equally well built (IMHO) and easy to use singlehanded.
I have a Harbor Freight with rim clamps from No Mar. I had the new clamps welded on the HF setup, they still are adjustable. I also have a Coats 220 mount demount bar with the plastic covers for the ends of the bar to prevent scratching. I have a Handy Industries static balancer. I have had my setup since 2002 and have changed allot of tires for myself and friends over the years.
I have the Jr. Pro bolted to the floor which I prefer but I also have the hitch mount to go help friends in need. As for accessories I have their balancer which is OK but I have a Rod Neff that I use most of the time, though I don't know if they're still made. I do have the three Extra Hands plus the three spoons but I use them more on stiffer tires than used on the BMW but the Yellow Thing I use all the time. Great system IMO and I'm glad I have it!
The Coats 220 is still one of the best tire changers around, but I've had mine since before the NoMar came out (or at least before I was aware of them). I change all my own tires, and several for other people, probably do well over 50 per year. It has long since paid for itself.
NoMar Classic if you don't mind the elbow grease. I bought it two weeks ago, and I have already changed 6 sets of tires. It will pay for itself in no time. Dealerships in my area charge $100+ a set (rims off of the bike). I have the floor and hitch mount too.
The base is the pro, top arm is another model, and the breaker is another model.
The guy who built it had a low roof in his trailer so he built it to fit.
