Default The bike keeps charging the fuel injection,

I have just changed my Battery on a 2010 Model as it was past its best. The original battery was flat.I have fitted a 12cell Motolab battery.

The bike has been stood a while but now when I turn the ignition on it continually as I understand primes,

Can anyone help?

Cheers

What you're hearing is normal. Perhaps you never noticed it before?

Thanks for the reply.

The bike has a badovini map in it and some things work differently or may be I have a frozen brain this winter?

I havent had chance to ride this bike for a while.

Cheers

Give us a precise explanation of what it does when you turn the key and maybe we can help. And does it start?

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your reply,

When the ignition is turned on, I can hear a constant wine and what sounds like the fuel injection on when I hit the Kill switch the tone changes.

The bike starts OK.

It does have the Badovini map in it so I am going the check with the team if they may have an answer to,

Cheers

It is normal for the fuel injection pump to run when you turn the key. It is pressurizing the system. Stock, I do recall that it goes off after a few seconds. And I also recall that some were reporting that some aftermarket ECU changes would cause the fuel pump to run continuously before starting.

My guess is that you have nothing wrong.

The S1000RR has a closed-loop prime and is active as long as the key is on. This is unlike most jap bikes which stop priming after the first few seconds.
