ECU unlock by BMW or PCV/Bazazz

Can anyone tell me which will be the best route to go when that time arises when i add a full system? Is there any truth to you adding a full system and pcv/bazazz to your bike that you void the warranty?

Probably easier to do a search on the subject, lots of info (opinions) has been posted already. The "truth" about warranty lies within your dealer more than anywhere else.

Here's a good place to start http://www.s1000rrforum.com/forum/se...earchid=661421

In the United States we have the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which allows the consumer to modify and keep the manufacture warranty.

K&N Airfilters has a nice write up here:

Letter from K&N CEO - Automotive Dealers Voiding a Warranty due to a K&N Replacement Filter

That's not the same as goin into ecu and changing programs I don't blame BMW if they won't cover warranty if you reflash the ecu is your choice do it loose warranty or do it and experience the bikes full potential

As of right now, I don't believe anyone is doing a reflash ... a lot of claims and a lot of pomp, but not much results.
