Replacement tires for HP4

I know I haven't done a km on the stock tires, just looking at future options. Planning on many miles next year!! What else is out there at 200/55zr17 besides the diablo?? I am a Dunlop guy and the only thing available on the Q2 is the 200/50zr17? Not sure how the profile will work with the hp4? Does BMW have any requirements on what brand or size must be run for warranty purposes? I remember reading somewhere the dealer blamed the replacement tire size for some issue?? Does DCC expect that exact tire?? So many questions!!

I love the Dunlop 211GP ntec uk is a race tire that sticks like glue and seems to last a lot longer than the other race tires, but I think bridgestone has the new R10 race tire and it comes in a 200/55/17

My suggestion is see what you thonk after riding it. The Pirrelis seemed fine to me.

I emailed Dunlop over a month ago asking if they planned on offering the Q2 in a 200/55. No word back yet. Hoping by the time I will need a tire there will be more choices than Pirelli.

I'm putting Pilot Road 3's on for the street and Dunlop Ntec slicks for the track.

That's a good question. With standard s1k's we're already paying more for the 55 profile, since most other liter bikes use a 50. But a 200/55?...sheeeeeeeeit Gotta pay to play I guess.

I don't own a s1000rr yet, but what issues/warranty problems does going with a different size tire may cause?
