I sent my Ohlins FGRT to Ohlins for oil change and service I also complained about how harsh they were and asked them to have them checked. They got back to me and told me the shocks had an older valve that was horrendouse. They swapped it out and promised a smooth ride. Anybody hear experienced a similar valve swap that can comment how the change feels before vs after?
I have the cartridges in my forks but i was complaing about something similar to my suspension guy. I told him that over sharp bumps or cracks in the track it would feel like the front had no suspension, almost like hitting a sharp bump on a bicycle with rigid forks. He changed something, I forgot what, with the compression. When I went back to the track it was buttery smooth.
Also, I had them serviced again near the end of the year. And from the experience he gained from working in motoamerica he made the forks even better than they were before. I can't wait to ride my shock next year after he services that.
Exactly how I felt mine hard as s h i t. On flat flawless asphalt they would make my bike stick like spiders but one bump and my tooth fillings would come loose. Buttery smooth sound so good. Can´t wait from them arrive and test em. Will post.
