A bit of a delay between updates but I've had a busy past couple of months. Decided to take some time off from the project after my buddies passing, rode a lot and made effort to meet up with friends that I hadn't seen in a while. Also got into dirt biking which is a completely different rush!
The design also changed slightly as I had a custom stem made because re using the original stem would force the user to press out the stem each time a new insert would be changed. Not practical and very time consuming. The new stem will allow inserts to be changed quite quickly without the need to remove the stem from the bike.
I also had some problems with anodizers, and I had to try out a couple as there were numerous problems from blotchy finishes to just unreliable deadlines. My latest guy is really good and he provides laser etching as you can see in the images below. Unfortunatelly there were some handling mistakes following anodizing which left a couple of small scratches that I know exist, so I'm going to give him one more go with a new set that I will cut shortly as he has assured me it will not happen again.
