Updated the DIY by adding a small aluminum bracket.

Materials:
4"x4" aluminum plate, about 1mm thick. 2mm would be fine, but anything thinner than 1mm would likely be problematic.

Tools:
Rockwell RK7321 BladeRunner with Wall Mount

Time:
~30 minutes

Reason:
The cup was a bit close to my foot and I bumped it a few times while carrying a drink. I thought that if I cut a bracket to extend the drink holder back a few inches it would put it well out of my way and it did.
