The Give mounting plate will still be bolted to the bracket and seal the seat unit.

They are called Rivnuts, or thread inserts

Hi all, i dont have time for a full writeup, but here's a link to the pictures I took as I was converting the Givi lock to use my stock BMW key. It's super convenient.
