Ilmberger Vs BMW HP parts

I searched and didn't find this topic, strangly!!

So what's the difference? From my limited search, seems like many people are happy with the Ilmberger product and price. Are the HP parts any better? Or is it a name thing? Do I need to pull off the carbon bits and show who made it? Are there any other companies that make carbon bits for the S1k? Are the designs from these two guys the exact same?

It varies. Some of the HP stuff is made by Ilmberger, but I've seen HP parts made by other vendors also. I've always been happy with Ilmberger so never had the desire to pay extra at the dealer for the HP stuff. I guess that depends on how "original" you want the bike to stay.
Serpa BMW in Newmarket is an Ilmberger dealer, you may want to discuss this with them.

I've always chosen Ilmberger Carbon Fiber parts for my bikes. Looked dead sexy on my Honda CBR1000RR Limited '08 and just ordered several pieces of Ilmberger from HardRacing for my HP4. In my opinion.... it just doesn't get any better.

I've never seen Ilmberger CF...

all my CF on my S1KRR is BMW HP... I got a wicked deal on all of it.


I have never seen a deeper or glossier carbon fiber in my life... it puts any other CF ive seen to shame.

Ilmberger makes the BMW HP carbon fiber.

Only difference, is when you order direct from Ilmberger it is substantially cheaper than ordering HP carbon fiber from your dealer.
