Just wanted to share my overall experience with Gotham Superbikes on my recent purchase from them. I purchased one of their new HID kits for my S1krr, both high and low beams. I've had 35W kits on my other bikes and cars before, but opted for the 55W kit this time. You can never have enough light when traveling down the interstate, late at night, at unmentionable speeds

.
I paid for the 55W 5000k kit on Dec 28th and received it on the 31st. Fast shipping especially considering the extra holiday courier loads! The kits came neatly packed with the bulbs in one box and the ballast in another. Both of those boxes were submerged in foam peanuts inside another box.
Ballasts are 3.5 inches long, 2.5 inches wide and 3/4 inch thick.
Ignitors are 2.5 inches long, 1 inch wide and 1 inch thick.
Here's everything you get!
They weighed in at 9.8oz (278g) a piece for the ballast.
Now the kit comes with spade connectors that can be plugged into the stock bulb harness but I wanted a more secure connection. So I soldered it, this also allowed me to shove the excess wire into the light housing.
Install was a breeze, it's almost as if BMW knew we were gonna do this and provided nice flat areas for this. I used some heavy duty velcro to attach.
Left side/Low beam
Right side/High beam
Blinding!! (5000k) (Probably gonna get white led parking lights to match)
I finally feel like the BMW is a BMW

.
These kits are super high quality. I thought about getting the cheaper HID kits on the market, in fact that's what I had on my 06 CBR1000. I lucked out and that kit worked ok, my buddy had the same kit, both from an ebay seller. He went through 2 ballast before he had two working lights! The returning and all the crap isn't worth it. Although recently, I had a bulb burn out on the CBR.
These kits are digitally controlled and will not flicker. The output voltage to the bulb is a nice sinusoidal AC waveform, not a chopped DC like the cheap kits. This will extended not only the bulb but the ballast, just like anything else in life, it doesn't like being slammed on and off. It's bright as could be and should last a long, long time.
Thanks guys!
