I finished up my own Tidy Tail today. Basically used all parts from the stock fender/tail. Took a bit, because I only got one shot at cutting the old parts up... but it turned out great (IMHO) and cost me about $7 (SS bolts and some aluminum metal stock from the hardware store). I chopped the old tail up w/a dremel and reused existing parts.
Here's some pics:
#1: Picture looking down on the top of the Tidy Tail - I used the stock mounting plate, basically cut all the arms and everything off of it.
--------
#2: Picture looking at the bottom side of the Tidy Tail. I mounted the factory turn signals to each side of the plate light mount. The holder shown in the picture is the bottom 1/2 of the factory plate holder cut up (dremeled) and installed upside down. This was done so the when the license plate was mounted, the bottom would angle slightly outward for the plate light to shine on as originally design/intended.

$3: Close-up of the underside of the Tidy Tail.

#4: Close-up of how the factory mounting plate gets mounted to the plate holder/turn signals/plate light. The piece in the middle is aluminum stock that is bent and used to attach the factory mounting plate (bottom portion of photo) to the plate holder/turn signals/plate light (top 1/2 of photo).

#5: Photo showing what the Tidy Tail looks like from the rear looking towards it. The outer holes are the holes that a license plate mounts to.
