Default Pipeworx Tail Tidy install and review

This was a fairly simple and quick install. The quality of the product is good and very simplistic in design and function. I bought this piece wanting to try something different other than the R&G, Yoshimura, etc pieces that are out there.

The install should take no more than 20 minutes. First and always when you cut, splice or disconnect any electrical component, disconnect the battery leads.

Remove the current plate and blinker mount. I cut slits in it to slide the blinker wires out of it instead of disconnecting them from their mounting points at the bulbs.

The only splice required is for the plate lamp, connect the bikes green wire to the mounts white wire and the brown wire to the mounts black wire. A little tip, I use Dielectric grease on all of my wire connections and have never run into any problems.

In order to get the stock blinkers to face directly behind you and not pointing up. I cut the securing mountings tabs off which allowed me to rotate the lights down facing the rear. The blinker on the right has been cut, I then had to cut a slit in it to remove it from the wire.

A shot from underneath and the backside of the plate mount.

They allowed the use of the stock mounting grommets and screws which I appreciate with bolt on products. Before your final mount remove the rear seat and pull the excess wires into the available space

I like that one. Looks much better than the Yoshi, like I bought. I also like the one by Evolutione than Ken makes in CA.
