Dismount the plug on the left side of the ECU.

Slide the ECU’s bracket forward out of its mounting tab on the tank.

Now you’re able to lift the ECU on its bracket as pic’d to release the air filters clasp.

Unscrew the plastic phillips-head securing the removable snorkel to the air filter housing. This is a securing tab, which will not detach from its mounting base. Unscrew as pic’d then pry it and it’s securing tab out of the snorkel and housing.

Lift the snorkel as shown.

7500 miles.

Lift the air filter and its mounting bracket out of its base.

Clean the air filters mounting bracket clearing any debris that could block its drain passage.

Install the filter in reverse as removing it.

Be sure not to pinch the vent hoses running them along the backside of the air filters mounting surface.

Right side

Push the air filter in its mounting bracket into place from the bottom as pic’d confirming correct placement.

You want the filter to recess into its base as pic’d. Then secure the filters securing clasp.

Slide the snorkel into place taking note of the upper stripping seal. For a proper seal push the stripping down into place as shown against it’s mounting surface.

Slide the ECU on its bracket into its tab on the tank.

Pull and push on both vent hoses to check for binding from being pinched.

Reassemble tank cover in reverse order.

Yes, they "T" together before exiting.

Very good write up. This was gonna be my next project and to be honest, was a little unsure of what the task would consist of. Thanks to your write up, I now have the know-how.
