Default carbon Fibre choice

Hi all,

I am thinking about getting some c/f for my bike. Seen what Austin racing has to offer but has anybody tried it on their bikes. I got some rearsets from them and they were good quality, so if the c/f has the same quality control they should be good to get. Appreciate any feedback.

If the bike in front of you is too close, don't brake, overtake!!!!

What parts were you looking for? Austin Racing has had some excellent feedback here. Check out Shift-Tech Carbon - S1000RR Ive gotten excellent quality carbon parts from them before.

Thanks for the link HyperM3, but shipping from the States to Europe costs a lot of the hard earned. I am looking to get the lower tank panels but nobody seems to have any Austin Racing C/F on their bikes. Hmmm. Wonder why?

Thanks for the input guys. Will check those websites. Ilmberger stuff is really expensive though, I'll have to check my bank account!!

Cheers.

slingshot racing SSR isn't to bad. It is fiberglass base with CF overlay and an UV overcoat to protect against yellowing. If weight isn't an option but the look is desired, this isn't a bad way to go IMHO.

You get what you pay for with carbon fiber. You can go cheap and get really flimsy stuff that will yellow within a few months of being in the sun. Or you can pay top dollar for the higher quality stuff that you can tell just from holding it. One of those things not worth skimping on IMHO.
