Default Cleaning the Black Plastic?

What do you use to clean the black plastic on your bike, specifically the plastic parts on the tank? I am starting to notice that parts of it are starting to turn a little white. Thanks for the help.

Mine are turning white (faded) as well. I don't have an answer for how to clean that, I was planning on just replacing mine with carbon fiber bits to "fix" it.

Wash with car soap, hand wax and diluted simple green.

Also (if applicable...keep in garage or under cover).

Try using SC-1. It's a silicone based protectant. It can bring back the original "black" of the plastic. May take several applications to come back and repeated use as well to keep it black. the first couple of sprays just leave it on and let it set. On subsequent applications let it sit for a few minutes then wipe it off.

That SC-1 worked great! Smells like red kool-aid too

this is what you want. take the plastic pieces off the bike, spray them down liberally, and let them set for 10-15 minutes. the stuff should be dripping off, really soak the parts down, then wipe off all the excess, and reinstall your parts. works great on the vinyl and plastic on the inside of your car, engine covers, seats, basically anything made of unpainted plastic will look better than brand new
