Question HID selection help

I'm looking for HID's for my bike but i have heard a lot of bad thing, what company/brand do u have? do you like them? any issues with the ballasts, bulbs, or wiring? i have no clue on what temp(5000,6000,12000) i should get or what the differences are. i want whatever ones light up the road the best. Do i want digital or non-digital ballast? any suggestions?

Hard Racing (forum vendor) sells some HIDs for the S1000RR.

I am running the 55W HIDs from DDM. No problems, no errors, no issues what so ever. Plug and play nicely. I went with the 6000. Normal sunlight I think is 4-something. A very "white" light is going to be 5000. 6000 is very very white with hint of blue. Looks a bit classy and is a HUGE improvement for night time driving as well as being seen during the day. Anything greater than 6000 IMO you're gonna start getting a bit blue and if you get around 9-12K you'r'e gonna be around purple.

I have the HID kit from HardRacing for my low beam 6000k, it is a good kit and you'll regret all those days you rode with the ugly original Halogen yellow light. Makes your bike looks more expensive. Just make sure you add error free LED parking light to your bike otherwise there will be a mix of yellow and blue lights

I use the kit from 1offmotorsports . There are also installation instructions under the DIY section. No modification, errors or warning lights. I am using the 6k bulb, but you can also get other bulbs. I believe there is a form discount, don't remember the coupon code though.

On other web sites they were selling them for double the price

2x T10 8LED 2825 License Plate Light Bulbs white - eBay (item 150611997055 end time Oct-26-11 15:57:13 PDT)

but let me tell you something, when you first fire start the bike , sometimes error appear for 2 or 3 seconds until the bike electric current stabilizes, then no error appears or when the bike sits at idle in traffic and it starts to overheats the error sign appears for few seconds but then disappears after that.
