Dreaded Purple Yoshi Case Savers!

People have asked for pics of the purple Yoshimura case savers, so here they are.

I imagine. Started changing at about 1500 miles. Never washed the bike hot, so it must be engine heat.

yep, mine are purple from the heat, I dont mind it though...

I did send Yoshi a copy of the pic. I asked if this was a common problem and what can be done to prevent or fix the problem.

when i bought mine i noticed a slight tinge of purple in sunlight. to be honest i like the purple colour more than black, so i dont really mind.

ps: good to see your case savers did they job!

WOW I was literally just about to order a set of these...

I don't want purple though, I guess it's woodcraft for me?

Mine have also turned purple, actually about a month after I purchased them. I never washed the bike hot and the bike is garage kept in an AC controlled environment. I spoke with Riders Discount for an exchange and they said I would have to go through Yoshimura myself and claim a warranty issue with them instead of them swapping it out for me. I was disappointed with the service, but decided it's not worth the hassle since my brother has gone through three different sets and all of them turned purple over time.

Mine are purple too. I think it's exposure to the sun and the anodizing process they're using. Would rather they were black but not worth the $ to swap out.
