HOTBODIES Undertail
Hi Guys,
I recently installed a Hot bodies under-tail on my new s1000rr, alpine white. I wasn't at all pleased to find that one of the indicators was not working AFTER i had it 95%installed and had already cut and spliced the rear indicator wiring harness , EXTREMELY PISSED at this stage. Anyway i removed it because it caused a error code on the dash and that would have annoyed me even further. Hot bodies sent me a replacement light and i was able to glue it back in place and reinstall the tail piece.
The fit is not at all great, and the color was a little darker then the OEM. Had to trim some of the pegs to get them into the OEM tail piece slots and when bolting it back in place, i had to force the under-tail to fit snug and smooth. The rear light attachment is Sh*t.. The tail piece does not have the clips to securely hold the tail light in place as on the OEM piece, this allows the light to move if pressure is put on it.
The look is awesome however and the tail area looks very clean. . I suggested to Hot bodies that they ensure they test ever piece before sending out, (i would hope they do but i could be wrong). Its not cool having to wait for an item to arrive (Cayman Islands) and then find out it doesn't work.
I do have to say that the customer service at hot bodies and at Superbike Toy Store were great, they got on it and sorted it out very quickly. all in all am happy with it. I DO recommend it < but make sure who ever you purchase it from test the light to make sure they are working properly.

Looks good. Is this a replacement piece that fit better? 'Cause it looks like a great fit.

Hot Bodies Undertail Kit Installation.
Hello Guys,
I need some major help here. I bought myself a new widescreen and fender eliminator kit for my 2011 BMW S1000RR. The windshield was a piece of cake. However the under tail kit was a different story. I was able to take everything apart like the directions showed me too. The wiring is where I messed up I believe. Not only did the blinkers not work at first try, I then shorted out my bike. ( I think I may have blew a fuse) - easy fix i hope.
I later read on hotbodies website that I needed an OEM BMW 4 pin connector, PN#83300413584 which I found on a BMW parts website. Did you have to use this when re-wiring your rear blinkers and license plate light? This did not come with the parts from hot bodies.
I have rewired a 2007 Honda CBR 1000RR in the past and was able to splice the wires reconnect them no problem using the hot bodies kit. This is a totally different story. Also what is this error message you talk about on your panel? Is this something i need removed by BMW dealer?
Please help if you can. Send pictures if you have them.. I'm stumped.

Check the fuse box under pass seat (the small one), should be a 4amp fuse blown. Dont ask me how I know...lol. There are a coulple extra fuses in your tool kit.
