Default rizoma engine guard

hi

has anyone fitted these?

i fitted mine a few days ago. took the bike out for a quick ride and lost the left side. it seems like it unscrewed it self and fell off.

anyone experienced this?

id screwed the black rubber part tight then bolted the long screw to the frame, didnt think i did anything wrong on the fitting side. :s

Unfortunately bits have a habit of falling off motorcycles - I had the gear linkage come apart on me while back. I use loctite nutlock on most fasteners now and this is very effective.

I am sure if you tell them the bolt is still there and the slider fell off, they will replace. Rizoma is good ****, my bike is full of it

Rizoma products is the Shiznit!! I got them on my bike. Anytime you put screws in the engine always use loc-tite. The vibration will loosen any screw , doesn't matter how tight it is. I almost lost my Sato rearsets last yr. I was lucky 1 screw was still on, all the rest had vibrated off. Now i loc-tite everything.

Same thing happened to me and s1000rrparts.com said to use lock tite next time and quoted me like $40 for a replacement puck instead of a free reolacement. Instructions dont say to use lock tite so i feel i shouldnt have to pay
