Default ¡Rocinante!

Pretty much done with as far as I'm going, with this bike. A lot of little things. The last bits - BST wheels and Ohlins, will go on the S1000RR I have to buy when I move back to the States in August. Much of what's on here will also make the move. I will note that buying carbon fiber from a zillion different companies leads to...carbon fiber that all looks slightly different. The last bit was the carbon fiber sprocket cover; I'd been wondering when someone would make one.

I absolutely LOVE the Watsen Design flushmount turn signals - just perfect. Overall, I like the brake upgrades - the RCS19 master cylinder, the M4 monoblocs, Galfer brake pads, and the custom-ordered Galfer brake lines. The system is more progressive, so it actually feels "weaker" in a way, but when you really need maximum braking, you get more than stock. So it's more power, and the brakes never really bite, which is very good because brakes that suddenly bite, while impressive on the street, are quite destabilizing.

Exhaust is definitely unique - an AR-CS, but retains the stock final butterfly. I run with it open, but I can attach it to get some silencing if I need to. PCV and Autotune, as a matter of course. Aluminum front subframe does allow the headlights to be kept...but you have to keep the stock nose fairing, or the headlights have nothing to screw into. Dual 55W HIDs do light up the night quite well!

And the Attack Racing rearsets are simply, utterly perfect.

I'm still scrubbing in the new rear Power Pure, and like it enough that I'm swapping the front, even though the original K3 still has about 50% life left in it.

Are there better bikes? Like a Desmosedici, or arguably the RSV4 Factory, or even an 1198R? Probably, but I couldn't care less. This is the one I absolutely LOVE...and can't imagine giving my heart to any other bike.

Awesome bike! I have an '11 TG with only 360 miles on it. Can't get a weather break, or wife break to put some miles on it. Anyhow, what are you using for tank grip? It looks great, I want it. I also have the BST wheels, but am saving them for the track.

Beautiful bike!

yup, it is. Stompgrips are grippier, but the Techspec grips are still plenty grippy, and they look awesome!

All you need to do now is get rid of those great big girlie strips on your tyres!

But he's still working on the new rear tire, yes? The front looks pretty much edge-to edge...

Nice bike, K-Cap.

have only done two days in the mountain passes on that tire, and I'm still feeling out the handling of the Power Pure, but I will say that I feel more confident on it than the K3. It's goooood
