If it's the latter, that's actually a darn good price (relative to MSRP). I would agree it is still steep though. I think A&S Cycles has them for $346 and then you have to buy the hardware kit and a lock kit (if you don't want to swap yours over from your stock rear seat).

Yup. Talking about a rear seat cowl.
I took off the rear pegs and replaced them with tie down hooks, so I thought I would pull the seat as well and replace it. Plu I manage to hook a boot or leg on the forward right corner of the thing every time I get off the bike and I'm afraid it is going to start to look ratty soon.
Considering my bike is Thunder Grey, a piece of carbon fiber might look sharp. But then I have no business complaining about the OEM price now do I?
