Default My S1000, update

Cant remember the last time I posted but about to commence some more work on the bike before the season gets going again, so thought I'd throw some pics up.

Just bought Alpha racing's race seatfoam long tailpiece and tank fairing, so I can do away with the textured black side panels/get more feel from the rear. Will have to fashion a plate so the tail can sit on the OEM rear subframe and cut the lighthole. White front fender also. At the moment the top of the tailpiece is a carbon Ilmberger bit, which will be up for sale if anyone's interested once the new one is on.

Only other thing that irks me is the severe squat I get on the power, Bitubo shock seems an awfully expensive solution; any advice here?

After that will just be track uppers remaining and she'll get a WSBK-esque paint job.

For now here she is:

I dig the stomp grip (I love the stuff) and the R&G Aero sliders. That CF hanger is sexy too! Lookin' good! What type of rearsets are those?

You can always look into the Ohlins TTX shock but it's just about as pricey. High-end shocks are high end shocks. When I started hitting the track the $$$ just started racking up but it's more than worth it when you can have supreme confidence in your machine.

We also have a 30mm fork cartridge kit to round out a suspension set up.

TTX shock

30mm fork cartridges

Thanks man, rearsets are Bonamici. Regarding the shock, I think K-tech can do a re-valve/spring for less cost and comparable effect which I might try.

There's a lot of shocks in that category as well.. like Elka or Racetech. You should be okay either way if it's setup right but the setup and tuning is important. I have a racetech GS3 stand alone on my bike, it's about a $1100 retail, and it has great features(hi/lo, etc, everything you would need). The Elka Triple Clicker is popular amongst the track day/club racers guys also. They're all a bit more price friendly than Bitubo or Ohlins.

From my experience, just get Ohlins or in your case Bitubo (whatever is the "end all" for you) because you'll always wonder what you're missing out on the faster you get and wonder if something is holding you back from getting faster. I must have changed my setup 3 times already. On my next bike it'll be straight to Ohlins cartridges and shock.

Oh, and I can get whatever you would need!

ohlins ttx rear shock or the all new k-tech rear shock,i personally would go for the k-tech 35dds shock as everyman and his dog runs the ohlins shocks...

K-Tech Suspension, road race and offroad motorcyle suspension

i used elka shocks and i found the rebound blows out on them after a few seasons and they need rebuilding, this has been on mx bikes and pit bikes only not road applications....its a shame theres no titanium springs around for these race shocks as they seem alot better than the normal race springs i've run......
