Default Ugly plastics?

Hey guys, am a new member here. Going to be buying a BMW rr 1000 2011 very soon, I just can't stand the lights. I think it's the ugliest thing I've ever seen; Besides the newly upgraded r1 front end. Anyway am wondering if some one has switched to Track plastics and attached lights somewhere else?

I love the S1 front, people recognize it right a way and know not to mess with you. 👿

People rarely see my headlights. And the taillights are nice.

I simply don't care what others think about my bike, I love my BumbleBeast the way it is... and I think since it will be your bike - you'll be able to do with it whatever you want... There are symmetrical headlights covers, plus if I recal correctly someone here have done the mod with plastics and the guy had only one headlight, will look for that post once I get to my PC.

There are valid reasons for this setup, most notably a weight savings of at least 600G! When an conventional / unsymmetrical light setup as in the standard incandescent or fluorescent bulbs that we are so familiar with and use to light our homes during the night, when we could be using pickles!

Thats right. Edison & the engineers at BMW definitely missed the boat on this one. The guys at Digital Labs actually did research on this and indeed the pickles really do glow!

I do the same lol! I love the angular unique look. I also love the fact that the designers optimized for function and let the look follow...and that's what led to the asymmetry. Gotta love that german engineering!

Hey to each his own.

That was the only thing I didn't like about the bike too so I made them look a little more symmetrical myself. $1.99 piece of black vinyl at Hobby Lobby
